Way of Hope Inc.’s Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) are certified under the Maryland Board of Nursing. CNAs ensure the well-being of their patients by performing a variety of person-centered tasks that help with daily living activities under the supervision of licensed nursing staff. They support the needs of their clients in the clients’ homes, hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and adult day care centers. CNAs can perform certain medical activities the client may need.
Our person-centered supports and services (include but are not limited to):
Support with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
- Walking and Ambulation
- Feeding
- Getting Dressed
- Toileting
- Transferring Assistance (wheelchair, bed, etc.)
- Continence Support
- Personal Hygiene (Bathing/Showering, Personal Grooming including Oral Health, Hair Styling, Shaving, and Nail Care)
Additional Services
- Monitor Patient Needs and Report Any Issues
- Monitors and Supervises Patients Taking Medications
- Accompany Patients to Medical Appointments
- Stock Medical Supplies
- Measure Vital Signs, including Blood Pressure, Oxygen Level, and Temperature
- Explain Medical Procedures and Tests to Patients and their Families
- Maintain Medical Records and Documentation According to all HIPPA Guidelines
